Since a teenager I have been travelling around the UK as an avid sports participant and used to end up frequenting curry houses in many different places, as a result of this I became a lover of Indian cuisine. This left me with the question of why it was that when I attended different festivals that I was unable to get an Indian curry of any quality or in many cases at all? It was for this reason I began visiting London Street vans and food locations and what became apparent to me was that even though the food on may occasions was delicious, it often fell short when it came to the consistency and the way it was served up. The food served was not easy to manage whilst on your feet or without finding a table to sit at. It was for this reason that I developed my own unique way of presenting the curry, delivered in a way that makes it easy for the customer to eat without becoming covered in the contents of their meal. (Quite important when your dressed up!)

We are now taking this concept to events and catering for the growing needs of the Spice loving British public offering them something that has been missing for some time. Our curry has the taste, quality and consistency which we are able to produce from our own purpose-built kitchen, served up from our shiny Rocket trailer which reflects everything we value in the food.

Our goal with this new business is to provide our customers an easier way to experience aromatic and flavorful, unparalleled true Indian cuisine served Fresh and Tasty from a stylish Areostream mobile catering Facility.

Poppadimes prides itself on Indian Food that has Taste, Quality and Freshness. That will be brought to you through our in house team of professional chefs bringing you the original tastes of true Indian food from our purpose built kitchen facility in Cambridgeshire enabling us to produce consistent high quality food in a controlled and hygienic facility. Allowing us to serve quality indian food, freshly prepared on a daily basis with salads that are also made fresh on the day.

Why not spice up your event? We can pitch up with our trailer and cater for you, whether that is a private function or festival event we have the means to deliver our freshly made curry straight from our mobile catering unit at a rate of 60 curries / kebabs an hour, with the quality that is there from the first to the last meal. Our trailer is just as outstanding as our food, with its clean and shiny looks, it gives confidence to the end user that they will receive first rate quality and service.

Our Food is pre-prepared the day before, allowing the curry to be cooked slowly, this time gives the curry time to take on the spices, marinate and for the meat to tenderise. This food is then kept refrigerated until being heated within the event trailer for the customer, with the rice being cooked fresh on the day. This process has the benefit of allowing for seamless, quick service whilst maintaining the quality of the food served.

We offer our unique Saul Curry, which is based on an old Northen Indian recipe and adjusted to suit the British palette. This curry comes in three versions: Chicken, lamb and vegetable. We also offer a lamb Shish Kebab, which is wrapped in a Roti with lettuce, onions (pickled in lemon) and a mint yogurt sauce. We have two sizes of curry which are: Our regular 12oz curry, mainly aimed at the lunch time service and the larger 16oz curry.

Our unique delivery system (Patent Pending) enables us to dispense the curry into a cup container vertically down one side and the rice down the other half. This intern allows the customer to eat the curry evenly and cleanly whilst being able to move freely without any distraction from their experience of the event and without fear of the contents dripping onto the diner. The delivery system also fits with our ethos of using only biodegradable packaging and keeping the quantity of packaging to a minimum. Making sure we do our bit for the planet which we know is so important to the end user.
